Owner Rob Wemple's journey in construction began long before the company name existed—growing up in Saint Petersburg, Florida, learning the trade under his father, a contractor who believed skills were earned on the job site, not in a classroom. When school didn't go as planned, Rob was put to work—measuring, carrying, building, and learning the fundamentals the old-school way. That early immersion laid the foundation for a career defined by grit, versatility, and pride in doing things right.

After moving to the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, Rob built high-end custom log homes—many valued in the million-dollar range—while starting a family with his wife and welcoming their three children. When the housing market collapsed, he adapted, taking on remodels and whatever work was necessary to provide. That determination led him onto the road for four years as an industrial electrician, gaining large-scale commercial and industrial experience few residential contractors possess.

Eventually, Rob and his family put down roots in Coden, Alabama. For nine years he worked at Master Boat Builders shipyard, starting as an electrician and expanding into pipefitting, welding, and advanced fabrication. The shipyard environment demanded precision, durability, and problem-solving under real-world conditions—skills that now translate directly into the structural integrity and longevity of his construction projects.

A close friend later encouraged Rob to return fully to residential work, joining Luna Home Services, followed by a role as a superintendent for a commercial general contractor. These experiences refined his project management skills, code knowledge, scheduling discipline, and ability to coordinate complex jobs from concept to completion.

Ultimately, Rob returned to his roots and founded Robstar's Renovations & Restorations LLC—bringing together decades of experience across residential, commercial, industrial, and marine construction.

Today, the company is truly family-run. Rob's children are part of the operation, with his oldest managing bookkeeping and scheduling, ensuring projects run smoothly behind the scenes. His wife operates a housekeeping business that complements the renovation process—he transforms spaces, and she makes them shine. Together, they deliver not just construction services, but complete, livable results.
